The Challenge
Impulse, a nostalgic personal care brand, struggled to engage younger demographics (Gen Z and Gen A) while maintaining relevance with its core audience. Labeled a "cheap" brand by some, Impulse faced a saturated market dominated by competitors with aggressive marketing strategies.
The brand had to rebuild organic search traffic, convert nostalgic sentiment into sales, and create an appealing presence for a modern audience—all without an existing digital platform for seamless engagement.
Our Approach
Content Rebels crafted a strategy designed to make Impulse “cool again.” We increased posting frequency across social platforms, focusing on visually engaging Reels and user-generated content (UGC).
Content pillars were established to reignite positive nostalgia and highlight premium product quality, while targeted ad campaigns on Meta and TikTok drove visibility and engagement with younger audiences. Additionally, we designed a new website with SEO optimisation and user-friendly navigation to support traffic growth and conversions.
The Results
This campaign revitalised Impulse's brand image, helping it resonate with Gen Z audiences while leveraging nostalgia to rekindle loyalty among older demographics. The dramatic increases in social media impressions and engagement demonstrated the success of the strategy, while the new website provided a foundation for future growth.
